After three days on strike, the Brooklyn Friends School Union won their fight against union-busting! School leadership announced yesterday they would withdraw their petition to the National Labor Relations Board, which had cynically used an appeal to "religious freedom" to attempt to decertify the union.
Congratulations to the workers of Brooklyn Friends School who stood their ground and built an even stronger union that will continue fighting for justice in the workplace and the community. And thank you to all of you who signed on to our letter to the head of school and Board of Trustees. The outpouring of community support for the union made a difference.
