Only 5 days left until the biggest day of fast food strikes yet. On April 15, New Yorkers around the state will be standing up and speaking out for fair pay. We'll be joining a massive day of rallies around the globe for the Fight for $15.
This growing movement of low-wage workers is spreading across our state. On Wednesday, actions will take place in Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, Poughkeepsie, Rochester, Syracuse and New York City. Clergy, workers, community leaders, and New Yorkers from all walks of life will speak with one voice, demanding an end to poverty wages.
If you believe that every mother who works hard for a living should make enough money to feed her kids – then stand with us.
If you believe that a man who works for a company for 5 years – every single day in a hot kitchen – and still makes $8.25 an hour, deserves a raise – then stand with us.
If you believe that it is TIME for companies that make record profits to give back to communities that support them by paying their employees enough to live – then stand with us.
At Labor-Religion Coalition of NYS, we’ll be standing with the Fight for $15.
Even if you can't make it to one of the rallies next Wednesday, you can make sure to add your voice to the movement. Sign up for the Fight for 15 Thunderclap, and you'll join a social media chorus on the 15th supporting the strikes.
Let’s come together and end poverty wages.
