For over 40 years, the Labor-Religion Coalition of New York State has been at the forefront of the fight for social, racial, and economic justice in New York State, and brought together faith, labor, and community to create a powerful movement rooted in our moral and democratic values. Today, we remain committed to this mission more than ever and continue to work towards our vision of a New York State that meets the needs of all those living here.

To meet this vision, we combine organizing amongst our faith communities and in New York’s poor and low-income communities with advocacy at the state level, to guarantee access to the rights and resources our communities need the most. Among these rights and resources are adequate food, housing, healthcare, quality education, a living wage, and the right to organize in the workplace—all of which are critical in helping to end poverty.
