Challenging Incarceration

Challenging Incarceration is a comprehensive policy platform which seeks to dismantle the mass incarceration system in New York State.

A Moral Budget

While our state is home to great wealth, we also have over 3 million residents living in poverty - including more than 1 in 5 children.  New York must invest in ending poverty, hunger and homelessness, protecting healthcare, guaranteeing quality public education for every child, and creating good jobs.

Sanctuary

Faith communities around the state are reflecting on the history of the Sanctuary Movement and considering how their community can play a role today. With threats against immigrants at an all time high, the need for preparation is urgent.

Green Light NY: Driving Together

The Green Light NY campaign is working to expand access to driver’s licenses to all residents of New York State, regardless of their immigration status.

Health care

Every New Yorker - rich or poor, urban or rural, upstate or downstate - deserves access to quality, affordable health care. We are part of the Campaign for New York Health, a coalition working to pass the New York Health Act and bring single-payer universal health care to everyone in our state.

A New Poor People's Campaign for Today

Labor-Religion Coalition endorses the call for a New Poor People's Campaign, an effort to unite the poor and dispossessed in a movement to end poverty.

Truth commission on Poverty in NYS

Despite New York’s reputation as a progressive bastion, racial and economic injustice continue to devastate and divide communities across the state.

Labor Solidarity

Workers organizing and building their own power in the workplace remains one of the most effective ways to win and maintain good jobs and fight back against inequality and corporate greed. Labor-Religion Coalition of NYS is committed to supporting union campaigns for worker justice.
