While our state is home to great wealth, we also have over 3 million residents living in poverty - including more than 1 in 5 children.


Faith communities around the state are reflecting on the history of the Sanctuary Movement and considering how their community can play a role today. With threats against immigrants at an all time high, the need for preparation is urgent.

A state-based nationwide movement to end the interlocking evils of systemic racism, poverty, militarism and environmental devastation.

Green Light NY: Driving Together                

The Green Light NY campaign is working to expand access to driver’s licenses to all residents of New York State, regardless of their immigration status. 

Health care                    

Every New Yorker - rich or poor, urban or rural, upstate or downstate - deserves access to quality, affordable health care. We are part of the Campaign for New York Health, a coalition working to pass the New York Health Act and bring single-payer universal health care to everyone in our state.                              

 Truth commission on Poverty in NYS

In 2017, we coordinated a Truth Commission on Poverty to collect stories and data from across New York on how economic, social and racial injustices impact our communities.

Labor Solidarity             

Workers organizing and building their own power in the workplace remains one of the most effective ways to win and maintain good jobs and fight back against inequality and corporate greed. Labor-Religion Coalition of NYS is committed to supporting union campaigns for worker justice.
